With patch 7.2, Final Fantasy XIV players get a new round of four Arcadion fights to take part in, the Cruiserweight Tier. These fights are not for the faint of heart and will pit players’ wits against some powerful enemies intent on coming out on top.
If you want to take on Dancing Green and his three pals, you’ll need to complete the fights and quests of the AAC: Light-heavyweight Tier, including the level 100 quest “The Neoteric Witch”. Then you can head to Solution 9 to dive back into the battles, and the story, of The Arcadion.
How to unlock AAC: Cruiserweight Tier in FFXIV

To begin the next round of Arcadion fights, you’ll need to head to Solution 9, and then to The Arcadion Greenroom, which is accessed by traveling to the Arcadion or True Vue Aethernet Shards and then making your way to the east of the Solution 9 map. When you get there, speak to Yaana (X: 22.2, Y:16.6) to pick up the level 100 quest “Souls Under Siege”.
This is the first quest in the Cruiserweight series and will introduce you to Dancing Green. To unlock the four different fights of the Cruiserweight Tier, you’ll need to complete all of the following level 100 quests:
Quest name | NPC / Location | Unlocks |
---|---|---|
Souls Under Siege | Yaana Solution 9 (X:22.2, Y:16.6) | |
The Dancing King | Yaana The Greenroom | AAC Cruiserweight M1 |
Art at War | Yaana The Greenroom | AAC Cruiserweight M2 |
Twisted Vengeance | Yaana The Greenroom | AAC Cruiserweight M3 |
Family Matters | Yaana Tritails Training | |
The Lone Wolf | Yaana The Greenroom | AAC Cruiserweight M4 |
When you’ve completed the final fight, head back to Tritails Training and talk to Yaana again to wrap up this portion of the story. If you’re planning to unlock the Savage versions of these raids when they drop on April 1, then you’ll need to complete the above list of quests before you can do so.
AAC Cruiserweight rewards

After completing each battle, you’ll be able to roll for Hologear tokens that can then be exchanged for iLvl 740 Cruiser gear. To exchange your Hologear tokens, talk to Hhihwi at the Nexus Arcade in Solution 9 (X:8.7, Y:13.4).
You’ll only be able to roll on one Hologear token per Cruiserweight fight per week, so make sure you roll for the things you really want and be prepared to replay fights if you don’t get what you rolled for the first time.
Here’s how many Hologear tokens (and what type) you’ll need for each type of gear:
Gear type | Hologear token type | How many |
---|---|---|
Head | Holohelm | 2 |
Chest | Holosurcoat | 4 |
Hands | Hologauntlets | 2 |
Legs | Holotrousers | 4 |
Feet | Holosabatons | 2 |
Jewellery | Holobrooch | 1 |
