Indiana Jones and the Great Circle PS5 release date announced

Nolan North welcomes Troy Baker to the Sony side.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is not just a great game, but a fantastic love letter to the iconic movie franchise. Troy Baker’s take on the whip-wielding adventurer goes the extra mile to make it feel like an authentic “Indy” experience.

It’s a bit of a shame, therefore, that the game was exclusive to Microsoft (Xbox and PC). However, we’d already heard on the grapevine that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle was coming to PS5, and now we have a release date.

As mentioned in the above trailer, you can expect Great Circle to hit the Sony console on April 17, with an option to pre-order it now. There’s also a Collector’s Bundle, as well as some additional bonus content available, such as the Temple of Doom outfit and a digital art book.

“What is an adventure without going somewhere new?”

I think we ought to give a little shout-out to the PlayStation 5 trailer. We get to see Nolan North and Troy Baker – titans of video game voice acting – opposite each other, as the former quizzes the latter on what it means to be an adventurer.

Levity ensues, with the Unchartered actor welcoming Baker to the Sony system, with comical nods to Nathan Drake in a way that’s self-aware enough to acknowledge the similarities between Naughty Dog’s mascot and Indiana Jones. The trailer ends with both actors opening a secret box that bathes them in a bright, PS5-esque blue glow.

We’re witness to an interesting shift towards non-exclusivity in gaming, lately. Now, it could be argued that games don’t need to be tied to one console in the first place and that developers and publishers that do this are simply trying to get a stranglehold on a particular market. But let’s not allow that to spoil the trailer. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on PlayStation 5? Yes, please.
