If you're wondering how to get the Legendary Urshifu in Pokémon Go, here's all the info you need to catch this fighting-type Pokémon.

Urshifu is the evolved version of Kubfu, who is also a water-type Pokémon alongside being a fighting-type, and hails from the Galar region.

How to get Urshifu in Pokémon Go

You cannot catch Urshifu in Pokémon Go. What you need to do instead is catch a Kubfu first and then evolve it into Urshifu. You can do that by completing the free Special Research called Might and Master (1/5).

You would need to explore 3 km, defeat 3 Team GO Rocket members, and use a supereffective Charged Attack to complete the challenge. You get a Kubfu encounter and some XP as rewards.

Now, after catching the Kubfu, feed it 200 candies, and it will evolve into an Urshifu.

Urshifu's stats, forms, best moveset, and weaknesses in Pokémon Go

Check the table below to find Urshifu's stats in Pokémon Go:

Max CP 4077 CP
Attack 254 ATK
Defense 177 DEF
Stamina 225 HP
Buddy distance 20 km

Urshifu has two forms: Single Strike Style and Rapid Strike Style. Its best moveset is Counter 16.56 damage per second and Dynamic Punch 313.5 TDO (total damage output). These moves are further boosted by Cloudy weather.

Urshifu is weak against Fairy, Flying, and Psychic Pokémon and takes 60% more damage from them. This Legendary Pokémon also has a Gigantamax evolution.

How to transmog in Assassin’s Creed Shadows https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-transmog-in-assassins-creed-shadows/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-transmog-in-assassins-creed-shadows https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-transmog-in-assassins-creed-shadows/#respond Tue, 25 Mar 2025 18:37:55 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1038934

Some armor sets boast powerful stats in Assassin's Creed Shadows—but rather less-than-stellar looks. Luckily for players, it's possible to transmog armor and weapons in Assassin's Creed Shadows so you can keep the buffs armor gives you while appearing differently aesthetically. If you're not sure how to make the most of this feature, here's everything you need to know.

Transmogging basically allows you to retain the stats of the armor or weapon you're currently using while rocking the looks of another. But you first need to unlock the feature before accessing it in AC Shadows.

Table of Contents

How to unlock the transmog ability in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The transmog ability unlocks right after you build the Forge near your Hideout. It costs 30 Wood, 40 Crops, and 10 Minerals, and you will unlock the ability right after Heiji introduces you to the feature.

Once you've built the Forge, you can transmog gear right from the Inventory. All you need to do is follow these steps:

  1. Head over to the Inventory tab.
  2. Choose any armor or weapon you want to transmog.
  3. Press the Customize button (located in the bottom right corner of the screen). As I was playing on a PS5, for me, it was the Triangle button. It's the Y button on Xbox and the X button on PCs.
  4. You will then be taken to the Visual Customization screen.
  5. Choose one of the unlocked weapons or armor and press the Square button to visualize the style.

The best thing about this game's transmog ability is you can customize individual aspects of weapons. For example, if you want to alter the appearance of the blade, handle, guard, and saya of the katana, you would be able to do that.

While playing the Rebuilding chapter in Assassin's Creed Shadows, you'll come across a quest named The Tea Ceremony where you must attend an occasion organized by Imai Sokyu.

This is where two ladies, Otama or Wakasa, will show up, and you need to confront them. But who should you confront? We have the answer for you.

The section below contains spoilers.

Should you confront Otama or Wakasa in Assassin's Creed Shadows?

The choice of confronting either Otama or Wakasa shows up towards the end of The Tea Ceremony.

an image of confronting Wakasa in Assassins Creed Shadows

Now, to get a faster ending, you should confront Wakasa. She's the Golden Teppo and assassinating her is the main objective of the questline. Once you've chosen to go the Wakasa way, you have to kill her using a gun shortly after she invites you (Naoe) back.

Once you're done killing her, you can continue with the rest of the story. But if you choose to confront Otama instead, you will find out she isn't the Golden Teppo, and you have to ultimately get rid of Wakasa.

You then have to chase down Otama in Sakai, kill her, and get a letter that reveals the true identity of Wakasa. After that, head over to the Osaka Castle to assassinate Wakasa. She will be located on the topmost part of the castle surrounded by a level six enemy.

Wakasa is a level eight boss and you will then have to fight her to death to complete the quest and get a legendary Tanto Sword and some Mon as rewards.

This part just extends the entire plot and your choice won't actually matter throughout the rest of Assassin's Creed Shadows' story.

The Onryo Samurai is the first boss fight in Assassin's Creed Shadows, and if you're wondering how to beat him, we've got some ways for you to know.

How to beat the Onryo Samurai

The name of the Onryo Samurai is Ido Yoshihiro, and you can find him inside the Katano Castle. He is a level 4 boss, and taking him down is fairly easy with the right approach.

Going down the OG Assassin's Creed way, meaning stealth, is the key to beating Ido Yoshihiro.

You can find a few guards near the entrance and the towers of the Katano Castle – aim to take them down first. Slowly move in a crouched state and assassinate them one by one by pressing the R1 button if you're playing on a PS5.

an image of a guard behind Onryo Samurai in AC Shadows
Screenshot by Destructoid

Keep a check on the yellow marker on the top, it shows how much a guard or enemy has seen you. If it turns red, then you will be wanted, and clearing the Castle will become a headache, you need to avoid that. You can also press L1 and move across the roofs of buildings to stay undetected.

If an enemy hears something and approaches you, stay hidden until you find the right moment to assassinate them. Hide their bodies within tall grasses and plants to avoid unnecessary drama. Keep using the Eagle view to check enemy positions from time to time.

Another tip is to extinguish candles and lights when you can and keep your Kunais handy. There will be a ration basket inside the Castle to refill health and items, use that wisely. Clear the majority of the Castle before going for Onryo Samurai, as you can avoid the ambush every now and then.

Now is the time to assassinate Ido Yoshihiro. I eliminated the level 1 guard behind him and then assassinated the Onryo Samurai. It was hassle-free, and then I took the remaining enemies down.

Now that you know how to defeat the Onryo Samurai, why not take a look around and unlock the quest to collect butterflies in AC: Shadows?

How to get Mon fast in Assassin’s Creed Shadows https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-mon-fast-in-assassins-creed-shadows/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-get-mon-fast-in-assassins-creed-shadows https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-mon-fast-in-assassins-creed-shadows/#respond Fri, 21 Mar 2025 20:31:08 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1034652 an image of Naoe in AC Shadows

Mon is an essential currency in Assassin's Creed Shadows to purchase different items and upgrade your gear as you level up.

Mon is the currency in Assassin's Creed Shadows, and it's also useful to build your Kakuregas and hire allies to loot different castle resources. The more you have it, the easier it will be to get the best gear possible.

How to get Mon in Assassin's Creed Shadows

You can get Mon in different ways, but the best ones are:

  • Clearing Castles
  • Completing Contracts
  • Selling items to Merchants

Clearing Castles takes time, but it's worth it

Castles are one of the best ways to get Mon, and that too in good quantities. The simple reason is that there are tons of loot available through chests and on enemies that you've killed. Castles are also filled with a handful of Samurai Daisho – kill them, and you can get Mon in return.

Killing a Samurai Daisho also gives you other rewards, such as Mastery Points, Legendary items, and XP.

an image of a Mon contract in AC Shadows

Complete Contracts that reward Mon

While clearing Castles is a sure-fire way of getting Mon, the other great way to earn money fast is by completing Contracts that offer this currency in return.

However, getting a Contract requires you to set up a Kakurega first. After setting up this building, head over to the "Browse Contracts" box and look for the contract offering Mon alongside XP.

Selling items to Merchants

The other way to get good quantities of Mon is by selling valuables to Merchants. You can get several items by killing enemies and looting chests, sometimes you will get items that are meant for selling them to Merchants in exchange for Mon.

As you proceed with the story of Assassin's Creed Shadows, fiercer enemies and high-level bosses will appear more often, so you need to level up along the way to match the challenge. Ideally, you'd like to do so as quickly as possible.

Here's how you can level up fast in Assassin's Creed Shadows.

Ways to level up fast in Assassin's Creed Shadows

There are various ways to level up, but here are the fastest ways in Assassin's Creed Shadows:

  • Complete Contracts
  • Clear Castles
  • Complete missions
  • Build a Tera in the Hideout

Complete all Contracts

an image of a Contract in AC Shadows
Screenshot by Destructoid

Completing all Contracts in every Season will give you a major boost in XP that ultimately will help in leveling you up. Certain Contracts also offer Mon in return—the game's currency—which you need to upgrade gear along the way.

Not all Contracts offer the same XP, but they all accumulate to give you a greater return. Complete them, and you can even earn other important items, such as Silk. To accept a Contract, you need to head over to your Kakurega safehouses.

Clear Castles

Another great way to level up fast is by clearing Castles. There will be many enemies to take down stealthily or with brute force, and you will get XP in return.

Look out for Samurai Daishos. These are high-level enemies that appear in smaller numbers in Castles, and killing them gives you greater XP and Mastery Points.

Complete missions

This is an easy one, but simply completing quests or missions will earn you XP constantly. Here's a list of all main and side missions in Assassin's Creed Shadows.

Build a Tera in the Hideout

a Tera in AC Shadows

As you progress with the story, build a Tera in the Hideout. This will give you a 10% XP boost, which can level you up faster.

It's a small Buddhist altar that needs 740 Crops, 550 Wood, 180 Minerals, and 1930 Mon to build it.

Apex Legends Patch 24.1 is now on live servers. The update brought several big changes to several Legends, weapons, the game's Ranked mode, and more.

Two Void Nexus can be active now at the same time while Ringmaster and Void Vision from level two and Multidimensional and Tactical Cooldown+ from level three upgrades are removed.

The Ranked mode has now got a Tier-based Split Reset rule where "every split system will reset players to the lowest division of their last split rank tier." Here's how the reset will work across all ranks:

Siege X will set the next era for Rainbow Six in motion with a new game mode and an exclusive map, an advanced rappel system, modernized maps, several audio and visual improvements to take its realistic feel a notch higher, and so much more.

But will it be free to play?

Is Rainbow Six Siege X going to be free-to-play?

Yes, Ubisoft has confirmed Rainbow Six will be going completely free-to-play with the release of Siege X.

https://twitter.com/Rainbow6Game/status/1900940095303413774

That means players who purchased Rainbow Six Siege in the past (all current players basically) will get to keep everything. This includes all the skins they've unlocked or purchased, Operators, their entire inventory, access to competitive playlists such as Ranked and Siege Cup, and progression over these 10 years.

This also means new players (after Siege X releases) will have to grind harder and upgrade to the Premium edition to unlock the competitive modes. They would also need to reach player level 50 to access more Operators.

They will have free access to the new Dual Front, Quick Play, and Unranked game modes. Ubisoft also confirmed that "free access will have 10 Operators available from the start and can expand that roster to 26 Operators through in-game progression."

Siege X will officially release on June 10, 2025, with the launch of Year 10 Season 2.

If you're wondering whether your PC can run The First Berserker: Khazan, here are its minimum and recommended system requirements.

The First Berserker: Khazan is a new hardcore Souls-like title from Nexon set to hit the shelves on March 27, 2025. It's set in the Dungeon & Fighter (DNF) universe that Souls game lovers would fancy, thanks to its harsh environments and tough boss battles.

Minimum system requirements for The First Berserker: Khazan

If your system matches the minimum requirements mentioned below, expect to get 30 frames per second at 1080p resolution at a low graphics settings preset.

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and OS
  • OS: Windows 10 64bit 22H2
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-6300 / AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • Memory: 12 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 / Radeon RX 580 / Arc A580
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 70 GB (SSD required)

If you have similar specs to those below, you can expect to get 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution at a high graphics settings preset.

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and OS
  • OS: Windows 10 64bit 21H2
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-6700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 / AMD Radeon RX 5700XT / Arc A750
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • Storage: 70 GB (SSD required)

Considering the recommended specs are not too demanding, we can expect to get good performance even on PCs that are not updated to the latest generation of hardware.

Of course, if your system has a 5000 series GPU connected, you'd be able to get great performance even at 4K resolution.

FragPunk weapon tier list (Season 0): Best guns ranked https://www.destructoid.com/fragpunk-weapon-tier-list/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=fragpunk-weapon-tier-list https://www.destructoid.com/fragpunk-weapon-tier-list/#respond Fri, 14 Mar 2025 15:02:17 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1031555 an image of Fever assault rifle in FragPunk

The new free-to-play first-person shooter, FragPunk, has a bunch of weapons to choose from, and our tier list has sorted them, ranking the best guns first.

Like any other shooter game, FragPunk also has its fair share of Assault Rifles, SMGs, Snipers, Pistols, Melee weapons, and more. Not all are built the same, so there's a pretty clear meta emerging. Here's our view of a tier list in Season 0.

Complete FragPunk weapon tier list

We have differentiated all 15 guns into three tiers:

  • S-Tier: These weapons are the best guns to use in matches and should be your first choice.
  • A-Tier: These weapons are good but a little less effective than the S-Tier guns.
  • B-Tier: You should probably avoid these weapons if you want to win matches.

S-Tier weapons

Fever in FragPunk

Weapon Name Weapon Type
Fever Assault Rifle
Mad Dog-S Sub Machine Gun
Meat Maker Shotgun
Resolver Sniper Rifle

The Fever, Mad Dog-S, Meat Maker, and Resolver are the best picks from their respective categories. The Fever is an Assault Rifle that's effective at all ranges and deals 91, 83, and 75 damage on the head at 0 to 25m, 25 to 40m, and 40 to 60m ranges, respectively.

The Mad Dog-S is a great choice of SMG if you fancy close-range combat most of the time. It deals 39, 36, and 33 damages on the head at 0 to 20m, 20 to 35m, and 35 to 60m ranges, respectively.

If you want to charge into enemy territory and fight point-blank, then go for the Meat Maker shotgun. Lastly, if you want to channel your inner sniper, then go for the Resolver. It deals 300 and 260 damage to the head at 0 to 17m and 17 to 60m range.

A-Tier weapons

Weapon Name Weapon Type
Bad Reputation Marksman Rifle
Bad Moon-S Marksman Rifle
Clampdown Sub Machine Gun
Discipline Assault Rifle
Ghost Pepper Light Machine Gun
Highlife Sniper Rifle
My Way Light Machine Gun

All the A-Tier weapons are great alternatives in their respective categories. Use them if you're really keen on trying different weapons for other game modes. Otherwise, we suggest sticking to the S-Tier guns for the best results in competitive matches.

B-Tier weapons

Weapon Name Weapon Type
Boom Broom Shotgun
Cold Shoulder Pistol
Cure All Pistol
Vicious Pistol

We are not categorizing Melee weapons as they are very situational. That concludes our FragPunk weapon tier list.

With that said, check our Lancer tier list to choose and unlock the best characters for this Season.

Multiplayer games like FragPunk are best enjoyed when you queue up with a bunch of friends. After all, being a first-person shooter with different Lancers (playable characters) and their abilities, coordination and communication play a major role in winning more matches.

So here's how to add your friends in Fragpunk.

Steps to add friends in FragPunk

To add friends in FragPunk, follow the steps below:

  • Click on the "+" icon in the top right corner of the screen.
  • You'll see a space to type their username or ID.

an image of fragpunk plus icon
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Ask your friend for their ID or username in the exact order. They can get the info by clicking on their name on the top right and clicking on the "Basic" tab.

an image of fragpunk profile id
Screenshot by Destructoid

  • Now, enter the ID into that empty space and click on Search.
  • Once they show up, add them to the list.

If you're playing FragPunk on Steam and you have friends added there, they will automatically show up on the Steam bar on the right. You can either invite them or join their lobby straight away.

This new multiplayer game from Bad Guitar Studio has multiple game modes to offer, and what makes it stand out from the other shooter games is how it breaks the rules by using Shard Cards.

Ubisoft finally revealed all the details about Rainbow Six Siege X on March 13, 2025, and the devs are bringing a ton of new changes to the tactical first-person shooter.

Siege X will mark a new era of the Rainbow Six franchise, with a new game mode, core gameplay updates, new modernised maps, an advanced rappelling system, a game engine, and so much more. Here's a rundown of all the changes the new update brings along.

New game mode and map – Dual Front and District

Dual Front is the new 6v6 game mode in Siege, where Attack and Defend occur simultaneously. It takes place in the new map, District, which is the biggest map in the game so far, ever-evolving, and divided into three sectors. The objective is to shut down their server and defend yours.

Once you're attacking a sector, you have to plant the defuser to "sabotage" it. The mechanics are very similar to how regular Siege game modes work, except the entire duration is divided into three 'ticks.' If you manage to defend it, the progress reverts to the last tick.

The pool of Operators here is a mix of both Attackers and Defenders, and respawning is allowed. Due to the nature of the new mode, the count of Operator abilities will also differ. The Operator pool will also rotate every season to keep things fresh. Dual Front will release with Year 10 Season 2 on June 10, 2025.

https://twitter.com/Rainbow6Game/status/1900232547524575532

Advanced rappeling system and weapon inspection

With Siege X, the rappelling system has become more advanced and smoother. You can now move faster, and the new mechanic allows you to run horizontally and cross the corners of buildings.

Also, weapon inspection is finally going to be a thing in Rainbow Six Siege X. All those hours and money spent on acquiring different skins – you'd finally be able to inspect them, just like Call of Duty or Counter-Strike.

Free access to skins

Since Rainbow Six Siege X will be a free-to-play overhaul, paid players will get exclusive skins and a badge. The badge will be determined by the time they first played Siege. If you've been playing from Year 1, you will also get Black Ice as an additional reward.

Communication Wheel and Ranked ban

Ubisoft has introduced a new Communication Wheel. This will provide another way of communicating for those without mics or who don't want to use the Voice Chat feature.

The developers have also introduced a new ranked ban system. Now, Attackers can only ban Defenders, and Defenders can only ban Attackers.

Wreckfest 2 is set to hit shelves in early access soon, so here's everything you need to know about the title, including its release date, platforms, new features, and more.

The sequel to the 2018 racing game will bring back the mayhem with an improved engine, true-to-life physics, a newly designed customization tool, revamped game modes, and much more.

Table of Contents

Wreckfest 2 release date

Wreckfest 2 will release in early access on March 20, 2025, for PC only via Steam. Its release on consoles will come about later, and once THQ Nordic confirms the timing, we will update this section.

All platforms

The game will be available on all the current-gen platforms, including PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Unlike the previous game, this one won't have cross-gen support.

New features

Moving on to new features, Wreckfest 2 will have:

  • Fully customizable cars
  • Revamped career mode
  • Other game modes, such as split-screen multiplayer, Demolition Derby, and more.

With a completely rebuilt simulation engine that promises "true-to-life physics," the chaos and destruction will be notable. It will even feature a higher crash fidelity, deeper armor, damage system, more intricate component damage simulation, and many more improvements.

You can also customize each and every car with more details than in the previous game, and it even allows you to create your car however you like. You will be able to choose from more vehicle types, detailed tuning, and make your car more visually appealing.

The career mode has been completely revamped. Multiplayer games will now have a skill-based matchmaking system and server queues, and a split-screen mode will make its first appearance in the franchise.

How to get the free Black Widow costume in Marvel Rivals https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-the-free-black-widow-costume-in-marvel-rivals/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-get-the-free-black-widow-costume-in-marvel-rivals https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-the-free-black-widow-costume-in-marvel-rivals/#respond Tue, 11 Mar 2025 22:19:11 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1029553 an image of Mrs. Barnes costume in Marvel Rivals

The Galacta's Cosmic Event is ongoing in Marvel Rivals at the time of writing, from which you can get a Black Widow costume for absolutely no extra cost.

The name of the costume is "Mrs. Barnes," and it's the last reward of the event's track. If you're wondering how to get it, here's everything you need to know.

How to get the Mrs. Barnes Black Widow costume in Marvel Rivals

To get the free Mrs. Barnes Black Widow costume, all you need to do is participate in the Galacta's Cosmic Event board game, which consists of 22 blocks in total.

an image of Galacta's Cosmic Event board game in Marvel Rivals
Screenshot by Destructoid

Since it's a board game, a die is involved – meaning the number you get when it's rolled is completely random. There's a chance of missing it completely in the first run in case the die rolls a number that skips the free cosmetic.

In that case, you have to keep rolling from the start with the hope of landing on it at some point. In other words, there's a bit of luck involved in getting hands on the free Mrs. Barnes Black Widow costume in Marvel Rivals.

How to get more die rolls

You need to collect 30 Galacta’s Power Cosmic to get an additional die roll. All you need to do is complete the Galacta's Cosmic Event Challenges to get this item.

Apart from that, you also get up to four free die rolls (one every 24 hours). This is only for a limited period – till March 16, 2025, at 2 a.m. PT.

The event ends on the same day as Season 1, which means that at the time of writing, you have over 30 days to get all the rewards.

Verdansk finally returns to Call of Duty Warzone and gets an official release date https://www.destructoid.com/verdansk-finally-returns-to-call-of-duty-warzone-and-gets-an-official-release-date/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=verdansk-finally-returns-to-call-of-duty-warzone-and-gets-an-official-release-date https://www.destructoid.com/verdansk-finally-returns-to-call-of-duty-warzone-and-gets-an-official-release-date/#respond Mon, 10 Mar 2025 19:57:54 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1028838 an image of a player dropping in Verdansk in Warzone

Call of Duty: Warzone had its fifth anniversary on March 10, 2025, and to celebrate the occasion, Activision will finally reintroduce the fan-favorite map, Verdansk.

It's time to mark the date on the calendar – Verdansk returns to Call of Duty: Warzone on April 3, 2025.

We will get to experience the original version of Verdansk, which came out in 2020. Yes, it will have all the fan-favorite hotdrop locations, including the TV Station, Military Base, Airport, Superstore, and more.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OX2LeqDlkBg

Verdansk was the first map in Warzone for many players, including me. Now that it's finally coming back, it will also bring a lot of memories from those early days of the game. As their post on X says, "It's time to revisit a place of unforgettable memories," things are about to get a lot more nostalgic for Warzone veterans.

This map will be a part of the Season 3 update, which also drops on the same date. So, at the time of writing, Verdansk is only 24 days away.

While the map is making a return, the gameplay mechanics from the original Warzone will not be coming back. It will stick to the mechanics from Black Ops 6. So, some things won't be the same as they used to be, it seems.

According to SteamCharts, Call of Duty has been facing a steady decline in the player count since December 2024. With the map coming back, hopefully, we hope to be able to see a rise in its player count.

Marvel Rivals fans believe many hero playstyles aren’t lore accurate https://www.destructoid.com/marvel-rivals-fans-believe-many-hero-playstyles-arent-lore-accurate/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=marvel-rivals-fans-believe-many-hero-playstyles-arent-lore-accurate https://www.destructoid.com/marvel-rivals-fans-believe-many-hero-playstyles-arent-lore-accurate/#respond Mon, 10 Mar 2025 16:58:13 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1028579 Magneto in Marvel Rivals

At the time of writing, Season 1 of Marvel Rivals is ongoing with 37 heroes in total. However, some fans believe that the playstyles of certain Marvel characters are not exactly lore-accurate.

Wolverine, Magneto, and Black Widow are some of the names that have caught the most attention among the community, as discussed in this post on X.

Wolverine tops the list, with several players claiming his "Auto Regen should be quicker." Several other fans agreed with the statement and chimed in their own thoughts, with one player echoing, "He should auto-regen and very quickly too."

In the comics, the mutant heals at an accelerated rate, which means his damaged cells and tissues get repaired in just a few seconds, and it gives him an edge in any sort of fight. Another player added that Wolverine could have a "tracking/wall climbing" ability as his Adamantium claws could allow that.

https://twitter.com/MRivalsMedia/status/1896976008450048400

Moving on to Magneto, one player thinks he's a "good character," but when it comes to executing his in-game abilities, it's been "horrible." Another chimed in, "Magneto should be able to at least hover to some degree," just like he does in the comics and movies.

"Magneto ultimate should let him lift enemies and slam them," said another.

On the other hand, one player feels that "Black Widow suffered THE MOST." "Her kit sucks cause all she has is a sniper, batons, and a kick. Home girl is trained to hold any kind of weapon, and all she got was a sniper." "Black Widow needs immediate rework," echoed another.

Some other notable mentions from the hero pool include Adam Warlock, Spider-Man, Hela, and the Hulk.

Among all the claims, a particular player said, "Every character is damn near perfect. They focused more on the original content (comics) than the movies. They just need to keep going all out."

"The lore changes every time a new fad comes around. All the characters are flawed but still fun to play. The constant tweaking and new characters are great," said another.

At the time of writing, it's difficult to say whether NetEase Games will bring all the requested changes to the characters mentioned above. Nevertheless, Marvel Rivals is a fun game to play, and with the arrival of the new limited-time Clone Rumble game mode, it'll get even more chaotic.

However, if you have a system that's a little outdated, setting everything to low will get the job done for you.

How to get Gold fast in FragPunk https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-gold-fast-in-fragpunk/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-get-gold-fast-in-fragpunk https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-gold-fast-in-fragpunk/#respond Mon, 10 Mar 2025 09:44:53 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1027956 an image of Gold in FragPunk

Gold is one of the most important currencies to collect in FragPunk. If you're wondering how to get some fast to unlock different items, here's everything you need to know.

FragPunk is the latest free-to-play 5v5 hero-based first-person shooter that, at the time of writing, is only available to play on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Best ways to get Gold fast in FragPunk

There are 4 great ways to get Gold fast in FragPunk:

  • Claim the Daily Free Bundle
  • Play as many matches as possible
  • Complete daily challenges
  • Redeem FragPunk codes

Claim the Daily Free Bundle

Claiming the Daily Free Bundle from the Items section inside the Store is one of the surest ways to get a Gold top up every day.

You get 50 Gold and 50 Glunite Coins, which can be really handy when you're only a few coins short of unlocking a new Lancer.

an image of Gold earned from a FragPunk multiplayer match
Screenshot by Destructoid

Play as many matches as possible

The next best way is to play as many multiplayer matches as possible. The amount of Gold you get depends on the margin with which you've won a match or how much contribution you've made to your team's victory, such as kills and assists.

Complete daily challenges

Completing daily challenges is another great way to get Gold, Glunite Coins, and the much-needed XP to level up.

Completing one of these challenges will get you 100x Gold, which is not much, but it goes a long way in stacking up over time.

Redeem FragPunk codes

Redeeming FragPunk codes is another way to get a decent amount of Gold. These codes, released by the devs occasionally, earn you in-game rewards such as Gold, FragPunk Coins, Pop Cans, Sticker Packs, and more.

The drawback is that the codes can be redeemed only once. But the rewards you get from them are essential to increasing the pool of different currencies in the game.

What is Gold used for in FragPunk?

In FragPunk, Gold is used to:

  • Unlock Lancers
  • Purchase Relics and other items

Lancers are the different playable characters with various abilities. So, unlocking more of them and being familiar with each makes you versatile, which is handy for the team.

After reaching level 15, you can spend 2,000 Gold to buy Relics. On the other hand, you can spend 1,000 and 10,000 Gold to purchase stickers and Curiosity Pop Cans from the store.

Now that you know about the best methods to get Gold fast, be sure to check the cool Twitch drops Bad Guitar Studio offers to celebrate the game's launch.

When it comes to mouse settings, the best sensitivity differs from player to player. The reason being some use palm grip while others use claw grip, and the hybrid grip is also not out of the question.

Secondly, mouse weight and space matter. Some players rely on their wrists for precision aiming, while others use arm movement. It boils down to your own preference, but if you want to start somewhere and experiment from there, you can use the settings below:

Look Sensitivity 0.6
Invert Camera Y-Axis Off
Camera Y-Axis Sensitivity Off

ADS Mouse Sensitivity Multiplier 0.9

The duration of Season 1's first half was from January 10 to February 21, 2025. It introduced new heroes to the roster, namely Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman, the Doom Match game mode, the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown and Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown maps, a new rank, and more.

The second half will run until April 11. At the time of writing, you have 35 days to complete the Battle Pass. In case you've purchased the Luxury upgrade, you don't need to worry, as it will never expire.

The second half of Season 1 brings new content to the table, too. Galacta’s Cosmic Adventure event, for example, where you can complete multiple challenges to earn rewards. It also includes a free Black Widow skin, so keep an eye out for it. The event starts on March 7 and will end on the same day as Season 1.

Another event is the Clone Rumble game mode. It's a limited-time event that's divided into three phases, and the best thing about it is that everyone can choose the same hero and fight their hearts out in the arena.

Split Fiction director explains why microtransactions will never be a part of Hazelight Studios games https://www.destructoid.com/split-fiction-director-explains-why-microtransactions-will-never-be-a-part-of-hazelight-studios-games/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=split-fiction-director-explains-why-microtransactions-will-never-be-a-part-of-hazelight-studios-games https://www.destructoid.com/split-fiction-director-explains-why-microtransactions-will-never-be-a-part-of-hazelight-studios-games/#respond Fri, 07 Mar 2025 10:07:12 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=1026106 an image of Split Fiction and Josef Fares

The new co-op experience from Hazelight Studios, Split Fiction, has finally hit the shelves. Like its older siblings, such as It Takes Two and A Way Out, it doesn't have microtransactions.

A certain fan commented on Fall Damage's YouTube video, praising the studio's promise of not including microtransactions by saying, "No lootboxes, no microtransactions, no BS. Words to live by!"

Josef Fares, the director of Split Fiction and founder of Hazelight Studios, reacted to the comment and said, "Of course, and that goes for everything we do at Hazelight."

He justified how loot boxes and microtransactions "affect the design of how the game should be done."

He said, "every time you take a design decision on making more money" is a "huge problem." He continued, "It's stopping our industry from a creative perspective."

Fans worldwide have been loving Split Fiction, thanks to its immersive gameplay. Our review at Destructoid considers it an absolute masterpiece as well.

When a project from a beloved studio gets the treatment that most people deserve, such as delivering a quality product that the majority of the fanbase will praise, the love and respect deepens. And Josef believes in that approach and strategy.

A particular fan commented on the YouTube video saying, "Josef Fares and Swen Vincke are two gaming directors that need to be protected at all costs. They are driven by passion for art, not money," and several others agreed. People absolutely love how "he's so chill with everything, and he's humble as well."
