Not gonna lie, Greatswords are some of my favorite weapons in Rune Slayer. Sure, it might be because they’re amongst the most powerful, but they’re also fun to use. Think about it, what’s better than swinging around a gargantuan blade twice your size? Nothing, that’s what. And of these Greatswords, there’s one that stands above all the rest. If you want to snatch it, dive into my guide on how to get Suveria’s Runeblade in Rune Slayer and the power will be all yours.Â

Requirements for Suveria’s Runeblade in Rune Slayer
Since Suveria’s Runeblade is a crafted weapon, the game will send you on a bit of an adventure to get all the necessary ingredients. These include:
- 1. Angelic Runeblade (x1): This is the base of the weapon you’ll be crafting and is a drop from the Rune Golems found in the game. To get Suveria’s Runeblade in Rune Slayer, you’re going to need to participate in defeating at least one of these mobs.
- 2. Angelic Rune (x1): Sounds familiar? You probably saw them in my Rune Slayer crafting guide, as it’s the item that allows you to get an additional runecrafting slot in an item. In this case, it’s just a crafting mat and it also drops from Rune Golems.Â
- 3. Gold Bar(x2): Platinum or Mithril deposits drop Gold Ore, which you then have to smelt at a forge to create Gold Bars. The best place to farm these deposits is Balgaron’s Chasm, everyone’s favorite fiery pit of despair.
- 4. Amber (x4): In Rune Slayer, Amber is a byproduct of mining Copper, so you’re going to want to find the best possible spot for farming large amounts of Copper in a short period of time. In my experience, the best spot to do so is just outside of the Church, where you join the holy faction.

So, until your inventory bar looks like the one above, you have a lot of work to do. Let’s start from the basics and move our way up to the point where you get that shiny new blade you wanted. Fortunately, we start with a 2-for-1.

The thing is, there are two spots where you can find Rune Golems—the Beach and the Forest. While the Forest is far more accessible, there are lots of other mobs around and other players will interfere much more easily. Not to mention, the spawn points are much better on the beach, which is where I’d advise you to go.

While they might look like pushovers, Rune Golems are really tough and require 4-5 players to defeat without a risk. You can solo them if you pick one of the top classes in our Rune Slayer class tier list, but why bother when you can bring some friends and have fun with it?

The Angelic Runeblade is a slightly rarer drop, so expect to get the Angelic Rune after your first encounter. I’ve heard of situations where people had to wait for 5-6 Rune Golems to get their first Rune, but that can depend on the server, time of day, Luck and a whole bunch of other things. Regardless, a trip to the Beach or Forest will get you the first two ingredients.

How to Get Gold Bars for Suveria’s Runeblade in Rune Slayer
To get the third ingredient for Suveria’s Runeblade in Rune Slayer, you need to head over to Balgaron’s Chasm and drop down below, almost at the level of the lava. Once you’re there, you should look for clusters of Platinum or Mithril ore. Mine them mindlessly until you get 2x Gold Ore as a ‘collateral’ drop.

Of course, once you get the Ore, you’re going to need to head to the forge (ideally in the second town) and smelt it to turn it into Gold Bars. It doesn’t cost anything and should be a piece of cake, given the fact that you should have already leveled your blacksmithing. Once you have two, you can focus on the final piece of the piece which is, coincidentally, close by.

How to Get Amber for Suveria’s Runeblade
As I mentioned above, Amber is a byproduct of Copper and the best Copper farm in the game is a cave right in front of the Church near the entrance to Balgaron’s Chasm. The nodes respawn relatively quickly, so you won’t have to worry about waiting too long. The rate between Copper and Amber drops is 10-15:1, so it’s not something too egregious. After you get that final piece, it’s time to head to the Blacksmith.

Forging Suveria’s Runeblade in Rune Slayer

First and foremost, make sure you have the right ingredients. Again, it’s one Angelic Runeblade and Angelic rune, with 2 Gold Bars and 4 Ambers. Once you have everything ready, just click Craft and BOOM, you have the best Greatsword in the game. You’ll be able to smite enemies with ease and, most importantly, flex that gargantuan, shiny weapon model.

Although, to be fair, it’s a shame there isn’t a rune slot readily available with the weapon. What can I say, Suveria’s Runeblade is so powerful that you shouldn’t even mind that, nor the merry-go-round the game sends you on.
And that’s all there is to it when it comes to my guide on how to get Suveria’s Runeblade in Rune Slayer. It’s a weapon worthy of a king and a quest worthy of MMOs from the early 2000s, let’s be real.
